Soon your pumpkins will be discarded and it will be time to think about a Christmas Tree. We STRONGLY suggest you choose one and put your name on it early so you won't come in December and find the best ones already taken. Any sized tree is $50 and you can tag one for $10 which is applied to your charge when you cut. We have a saw but you must supply a means to tie your trophy to your vehicle. Please call before you come to make sure somebody is here, and remember to come before it's too dark to see where you are walking.
Lobsters are plentiful but the customers not so much, so prices remain reasonable, and clam prices have dropped a bit from their summer high. Fall-winter hours now; 9 to 5 Wednesday-Sunday. Business is very slow and we may be away from the shop at times, so DEFINITELY call ahead.
Stripers and bluefish are still around in good numbers and they aren't all small, either. Local beach pounder "Mark the Shark" caught some really nice fish this week from shore; as I predicted it has been a late run this year. As long as water temperatures stay above 50 there should be fish around, and we still have bait for them.
